What "could be" and what to do if

Most People have never taken the time to think about what "could be" and what to do if.  What could be is a mega disaste,r a catastrophy, or god forbid War.  In the event of a complete societal breakdown there would be no food , supplies, gas, or other necessities.  I have compiled this list of food stuffs and such that would be cheap, simple, and easy to compile.  Hoard these items because although you may not recognise the need now, you will in the event "of".

wheat (both hard and soft)
rice (white and brown, although brown has a shorter shelf life)
salt
varieties of beans Dried, and you can cheaply buy in bulk

sugar
honey
spices, herbs and seasonings (according to preferences)
dried milk
peanut butter
coffee
alcohol (the drinking kind. Is it a food? No, but it will become highly desirable and barterable.)
Vodka, why?  use in treating wounds etc.

canned goods (soups, pastas, veggies, fruit, beans, etc.)
oats
freeze-dried entrees (very useful in evacuations and emergencies in which cooking is difficult)
yeast
baking powder, baking soda
oil, shortening (Shortening, if stored in a glass or metal container has a much longer shelf life than oil.)

Flour
dried pastam  especially yop romen style noodles.

And finally ,Seeds-  Every vegetable and herb you can imagine

hemp seeds,  as medicine runs out it is tradeable as well as many things can be made from hemp.

You may think of more, but these items are easy to obtain and will at the least provide a measure of comfort in the worst of times.  Good luck and good luck.
