Free speech…a well known, and little commented on, portion of our foundation.         http://caselaw.lp.findlaw.com/data/constitution/amendment01/      in these times, as much as I rail on the administration both current and former I admit I never felt as though I would see the tumultuous course plotted in today’s seas.  Not since the Alien and Sedition act of 1795 http://www.loc.gov/rr/program/bib/ourdocs/Alien.html  have we seen such an egregious affront on our freedoms that are paramount to our constitutional rights.  No matter your political leanings, whether right or left, maybe even somewhere in the middle, no real American (with an understanding of the constitution) can sit idle and watch as the as the White House labels any individual news organization as anything from seditious to unimportant, it reeks of an affront to our rights as citizens of this shining beacon on a hill.

Anita Dunn the White House Communications director was called on the carpet for comments she made about her favorite political philosopher Mao Se Tung. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HiBDpL2dExY   Since then the Obama Administration has embarked on a smear campaign attempting to take credibility from Fox news. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1AEt180Wnls   Till now, it has been relatively ineffective and a new stratagem has been employed.  It is a poorly orchestrated attempt to marginalize Fox by referring to them as a non factor as a news organization and even going as far as suggesting that they are in fact not a news channel.  When as per their own admission they control the outflow of news.

Every American should be willing to stand up and renounce this doctrine of hate and inability to confront.  This is an unwillingness to deal with the issues at hand and defame those that disagree.  As a Commentator for this radio show I can only fear, what comes next?  Imprisonment, fines, seizure of property, exportation, when does it stop?  With each and every crossing of that fine line takes us one step closer to…… (you fill in the blank)  Even when I supported this administration, yet was firm in my feelings I never would have imagined these steps.  I now say to you, for all of you that said people like the Glenn Becks of the world were ignorant morons; each step taken has made the next easier and so on and so on.  When you look back at when and how it all began you can now say you should have seen it coming.

"Whether or not you like Fox News

, all of us in the press need to be concerned about the administration of President Barack Obama trying to punish' the cable news channel for its point of view," wrote television critic David Zurawik in the Baltimore Sun.

I freely admit and ponder all at once.  For us here it is great debate but the reality is that it is un-American to deprive news organizations of the right to report based upon legitimate information.  The White Houses unwillingness to work with Fox news is an insult to all Americans and like Glenn Beck would say if I am wrong then correct me.
